Dear Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs,

My daughter and nephew have done matric last year with a birth certificate. We were told by home affairs we needed a vault birth certificate for some reason, in order to apply for Id's once received. Applications were done May 2019 and we have still received nothing, after many calls and now emails over lock down, only to be 'escalated' every time. How do they build a life with no ID for a job, bank account, drivers licence, etc. Please help us as it is nearly 2 year's this May. Is this what our youth have to deal with.
