Dear Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans,

Please Could you assist us in getting a payment of R90 000 that is owed to us from the Department Of Defense from 2021.

We are a Small company that rendered a catering service in 2021 for the Meeting between dirco and Defense for the joint Defense and security cluster.

We have been trying endlessly to recoup the money all these years.
With emails, calls and whats ap messages. she says she will sorted it out but I have yet to receive my payment.

We dealt with Phindi Geldenhuis from the foreign Relations desk in Defense. She was the Lady who place the catering Order with us. She is saying SAPS needs to Pay their Portion and that is why the payment is not made. But My agreement is With Defence not SAPS. She needs to sort out her own internal agreement with SAPS as I don't know what their arrangement is between them.

If I am correct Government Institutions need to settle their invoices within 30 days it is now 3 years!!!

We need this money to pay off our loans that we incurred to cater for this event.
This is not right we are a small business trying to survive.

I am asking for any assistance from the portfolio Committee .
