I wrote thus email with no fear and looking for suitable answers

I was not inform that I cannot claim funds after 4 years , first time I hear it when I do my second uif claim in 2024.
I was previously employed by Fnb for 22years and resign in 2020 , and receive only 2 payments and the Department put a block on it.
I casual at the local Municipality for 6months 2021 when I was elected in November 2021 as a ward councillor , which we was not contributors for uif, also find out after resign and when I apply for uif .

When I visit the vredendal offices for the first time nothing was explain about the 4years period .I ask them about my contributions when I wax employed at fnb and on the system was shown amount of R52k , I also do banking details update and apply for the funds.

I was inform when I visit again on the 18/19 November 2024 about the changes and periods time frames , which I have query that wax nit explain in full to me , how can you expect the consumer, contributor must known these kind of valuable information, with hold, of was it on purpose .

If your department can do a full investigation on this matter I will appreciated it.
