My name is Yonela and I am unemployed due to covid.

I went to DOL Cape Town Cbd to find out how my unemployment fund is calculated. I have been getting 10% of my salary for the past 3 months. I have worked for 4 years full. According to my research I should get over 40% of my salary each month.

I was told that it's because I received Ters in 2020 while I was on layoff at work. We were told Ters doesn't affect your normal uif credits.

When we go to their offices they don't want to give us information about how much in total is due to you for Uif and how many months you will get paid out. They say they are not allowed to give us that information.

I still want to get answers and my benefits in full
