Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,

Like everybody else here, I would just like to highlight the fact that I have been awaiting any reasonable response from " Alteram solutions" that now supposedly handles the country's UIF payments, for over 9 months since filing my claim through the online portal Ufilling in December 2021.

I have received 4 different reasons for non payment, delays and payment status, since having contacted them in June. They can't even reply to a complaint with in their own given timeline.

I am just curious if there is anybody that can actual assist me with a legal and legitimate claim for a UIF payment or has the UIF fund just become something that I am legally obligated to pay into but has no benefit as claims are never resolved.

Just another South African left without hope.
