Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,

I was retrenched in July 2020, which i applied for uif benefits on the ufiling website on the 7th of August. I thereafter submitted my documents to the department of labour in Alberton on the 9th October. I called the labour department a few weeks after that because i have not received a payment yet, which was supposed to take between 15-20 days.
I was told during the call that there were outstanding documents and they also gave me 2 email addresses to forward the outstanding documents, which i did. I have even tried applying for 'Continuation of benefits' on the website and every time it shows 'Cancelled by paymaster'.
Now i have not received any response as to why i have not received any payment or why my status on the website shows 'cancelled by paymaster'.
I am in desperate need of assistance and i look forward to hearing from you.
