Dear Joint Standing Committee on Defence,

We need amendment on Chapter XX of the General Regulations for SANDF and Reserves. The section which military union needs threshold be getting its registration certificate. There is no such a requirement for civilian unions.

Also the Regulation which deals with threshold for union to participate in military bargaining should be amendment because civilian union who has less membership do participate in their civilian bargaining councils.

These two Regulations of the Chapter XX should be amendment so that military labour law is in line with South African labour laws in general
