Dear Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development,

Honourable Members, It's with great disappointment writing to you.

Honourable Members, we have since applied for agricultural land in October 2020, there's no progress made. Our understanding is that the 700 000 hectares released has got nothing to do with the new Draft Bill on Land, which is still to be passed in Parliament.

Do you have any good reasons from the department as to why they took this too long?

Again, this nowadays norm of giving everything to women, youths and PLWD leaves much to be desired. I want to doubt that it will continue to be relevant as we move forward - the criteria is unfair to the working age population, because you're saying to them:your time is OVER, we only serve these target groups.

Some of us here in the poor villages of Limpopo are trying end meet in less than 60m land while people have enough land which is underutilization and/or vacant. March is the end of the financial year, applicants/beneficiaries who met the requirement should have been shortlisted and briefed.

Pull up your socks guys!!!

Stay Safe. CoronaVirus Kills. Wear Mask.
