Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour, I want to make a complaint about the queue at Midrand Sassa department. People are told to queue from 6am outside on the pavement and there is NO social distancing at all. The staff are not there at 6am to even address the situation. There is a serious health risk of Covid and a lot of the folk queuing are the elderly. This problem needs prompt addressing. I personally was given no direct instruction as to where I needed to queue early morning 6 am to submit my completed documents for grant application. This created great confusion for those forming 2 queues which was one queue inside the gates and one lot on the pavement. There was lots or shouting and disarray which could have been a potentially explosive situation.
