I went with friend to sassa on 2 September 2025 in Bellville. I was so disturbed to see and experienced the type of services people get when visiting sassa for applying for old age pension or diaabiloty grants. Peopl even sleep over from 12h00 the evening just to gwt a place the next morning to get helped. Many of them are send home again because of mamhours. Teh securities at the door are so rude and chase poeple away. Many people get appointments for a specific day and time just to sit there the whole day without food or anything to drink evenso tbey never get helped just to get another appointment. What do they think where muat people get moeny from to get tbere? Sassa is not really helpful. People become discourage and nothing is donr to get a solution or to make the situation better. Whycant sassa not open more branches to assist people. Or why cant sassa not come to the people?. Many times there are old people sitting there, people in wheel chairs, etc. This services are really weak, it is disgusting. There must be a way to make the situation better.
