Dear Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs,

Noting that Bosasa/ African global is housing government detainees, noting that the government is intending or decided to terminate the tender with the company, should government relocate the children at Bosasa youth development centers and the inmates at Lindela repatriation centre what will be happening to the workers currently employed by the company? Surely there will be increased volume of work to the places where these people are relocated to and that will overload the work of officials in those facilities. Unemployment has risen to almost 30% and government must be concerned about this figure. Will the government demonstrate a caring attitude and insource the workers like it did with the Life Esidimeni ones.
