Dear Portfolio Committee on Trade, Industry and Competition,

I have noted Capitec bank blocking my payments to Ithuba Lotto but in the same breath offers me to play Ithuba lotto on the bank App adding R1,50 extra on top off the lotto R5 per line played. I have contacted Capitec, and they refer me to your law prohibit payments toward illegal gambling sites. (1) Capitec robbing players R1,50 extra on every line played and offers no service in return. (2) If Ithuba is an illegal gambling site, then it is your job to go close all Ithuba lotto offices and disregard their registered licenses to operate in south Africa. (3) You must also then stop Ithuba lotto charity payments towards charity institutions immediately.

I can just think on how many job losses you are creating adding to SA Unemployment rates. Then how do you think government going to fill the charity payments towards charity?

Future replies will be published here.
