Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,
I write to you rather dissatisfied with the services I have received from the labour department Germiston. I was retrenched in February 2022. I applied for my UIF and was expecting to be paid my first UIF claim at the end of April 2022. I received nothing. It's now 8 months overdue and 12 visits later and still no initial payment of my UIF. I have written a complaint to the labour department and was expecting feedback within 14 working days but received nothing. I have escalated my complaint within the Germiston DOL and was promised payment within a week by a supervisor but to no avail. I called the customer service nr avail on the DOL website but to no avail.
That money is due to me. I am unemployed and am reliant on the money. The service is non existent.
I await a favorable response within a reasonable time period
