Dear Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA),
I take this opportunity to express my frustration on this matter.

The accident took place while I was on duty my employer was KZN Legislature in the office of the Speaker Ms Nontembeko Boyce by then, and currently. The accident took place on September 03, 2020.

I damage my lower back L3L4L5 a procedure lumber fusion was done by Dr J Coventry at Entabeni Hospital in 2021.

After while the specialist including Occupational Therapist had recommended that I should be medically boarded, because of the condition.

Everything was submitted to the KwaZulu-Natal legislature for processing, the application was declined in July 2024 after the elections I was shown the way out.

No consultation whatsoever, now I have no means except that I and my family only serves through Sassa Disability grant, I am unable to pay for municipal services, I am unable to pay rent cause when the accident took place I was about to start the process to secure my personalproperty.

I haven't received the general damages yet its not easy at all.

In my case I feel like the state failed me twice, soon I will be kicked out where I leave and be on street with my family.

Because of the state that fails its employees and the society.

Sassa grant I believe it's designed to assist the individuals in my it is for my disability. But how do I provide for my wife and kids.

I am on the following chronic pain medication.

1. Ibuprofen.
2. Paracetamol
3. Trepiline.
4. Tramadol.
5. Carbamazepine.
6. Methyl Salicylate.

From Government hospital, in April 2025 I was admitted at King Dinuzulu hospital for Epidural procedure, doctors were unable to assist after several attempts, due to the complex of the operation which was done by the private hospital according to the doctors at the said hospital.

I trust that this message will get to the attention of the Hon Chairperson Mr Songezi Zibi President of Rise Mzansi.
