Dear Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services,

In the Portfolio Committee meeting this morning 24 August 2021 concerning the 'Cannabis for Private Purposes Bill: Input by various Departments; Criminal Procedure Amendment Bill: public hearings', chaired by Honourable G Mangwanishe, it was decided that public hearings would be held on the Bill on 30 and 31 August 2021.

However, no details were given as to the venue, date and time of these hearings, how and by whom oral submissions will be made, and whether written submissions can be made prior to these public hearings and if so, to whom (email address).

I humbly request this information urgently so that I may duly participate in these significant parliamentary hearings.
