Dear Portfolio Committee on Electricity and Energy, Good day, hope this email finds you well I am lindelwa Madlala from Pietermaritzburg Claridge funny farm we need your help and this problem has been going on for years now and the sad part is children and pensioners are sufuring,we don't have electricity and it's been months and water the sad part is that 2000 black household community and 9 farms house, 2012 we applied for electricity at Msunduzi Municipality and they told us to pay R20 thousand per household and we did that and we waited for Msunduzi Municipality to come install electricity for us there didn't what they did is to call us back and say we need to find a private electricity company that will help install electricity for us and we did that and by doing that we paid the electricity company out of our on pocket,and we were told to by everything transforms, cables and more and we bought it.the reason for us to pay for our electricity was because Msunduzi Municipality said they don't have budget for us okay fine..and we started using the electricity and Msunduzi Municipality came with the audit and approved it..and we want back to Msunduzi Municipality and told them we want meters or prepaid and they said there don't have money so when they do their will provide us with it and till today their have never so the problem started after 2018 they told us we fall under uMshwathi municipality and there are the ones who have to provide for us so they cut out our electricity and we staying in the dark with no electricity.please can someone intervene and help us
