Dear Portfolio Committee on Public Works,
Good afternoon Chairperson,
I would like the portfolio committee to pay a visit to the military unit 9 SAI Bn, this was once a model of unit but it is unbelievable in what state or condition the roads and houses are.
The Minister nor the officer commanding is responsible for this dilapidated view of these buildings, roads and even the white oliphant SADFI building is an embarrassment .
It is heartbreaking to see our military base, married quarters and roads in such a condition.
I believe as a very proud and well disciplined retired soldier, Treasury can definitely improve the defence budget and that of the Public Works Minister. I thank you!
