Dear Portfolio Committee on Basic Education,
I am writing this to you as a concerned educator who is working under poor conditions at Raphathla secondary school, located at Nairn (Bochum) , school of Maleboho east circuit under Capricorn district that is headed by MR mothemane.
The SGB with the school management team has in several attempts from 2007 tried to secure a school infrastructure with the community involved. however the Limpopo department of education turns a blind eye on these multiple requests. Limpopo education has been visited by the SGB several times, meeting with multiple office based staff, with no positive outcome but subjecting the SGB to the long and frustrating processes that do not help in any way, as tried and followed.
Hence I'm writing this to you as a trusted committee to safeguard human rights of all in Limpopo. learners rights are violated and the results of grade 12 from annual comparative analysis is the evidence. classrooms are overcrowded to 90 learners in one classroom, where the school has only one usable block with 3 classrooms and 308 total learners.
their right to basic education has been violated as per the south African constitution and no one is doing anything about it.
at time parent attempt to close the school but the question remains on children education
your intervention will be highly appreciated
