Dear Portfolio Committee on Land Reform and Rural Development, my question with regard to the return of land wherever expropriated, be it for conservation purposes or otherwise, in dealing with land claims, such as the land which is still lying vacant in District 6, is whether this land cannot be returned to the original owners, by the National Government just simply withdrawing the original expropriation notices and returning the land to the original landowners? This is such a simple administrative process. I am a resident of Cape Town and am concerned as to how slow this process of is taking. Can Parliament not table this as a matter of urgency, so that these people can see justice being done?
