Dear Portfolio Committee on Mineral Resources,

We respectfully request your Parliamentary Portfolio Committee and/or the Department of Mineral Resources to urgently investigate, assist and intervene on the improper conduct of the business rescue practitioners at Optimum Coal Mines, Koornfontein Coal Mine and the Richards Bay Terminal. Not only will hundreds of jobs be lost but the stripping of these valuable assets and the extreme mismanagement thereof in the last 9 months can only be described as reckless and possibly even criminal.

We do not believe that the business rescue practitioners' actions are legally sanctioned and require scrutiny without delay.
