Dear Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.

I am speaking on behalf of residents, Frankfort Freestate, Mafube District Municipality. For 9 years plus, Frankfort Freestate Mafube District Municipality, are not providing constant clean water supply to the residents. On a regular basis, pumps are not working. We are pumping water directly from the river. There is suppose to be 3 pumps. On a regular basis only 1 pumps function and it happened before, that all pumps were broken. There is only 2 Filters out of 6 functioning.

The municipality is not collecting debt and this month only collected 15 %. Workers is not paid. Chemicals, for water treatment is not enough. Dirty water flow, through our taps.

Roads are hazardous, low vehicles can't drive on a lot of the roads in town.

Letters were written to Cogta and Misa and SAHRC and DWS and the President hotline.

What is Cogta going to do about Frankfort Freestate Mafube District Municipality's poor service delivery? Old people and poor people, can't buy watertanks and sink boreholes. People are walking km's for a few liters of water.

This is against the Human Rights Legislation.

Cogta's President and Vise-President and PA knows about our poor circumstances. Can COGTA please intervene with PROBLEM SOLVING SOLUTIONS AND PROBLEM SOLVING IMPLEMENTATION .
