Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,

I don't even know if my message to you will reach you or not, I tried before and was not answered just ignored - You failed me in my and so many others' plea to get what is owed to me.
I contributed to the UIF fund for over 20 years and when it's their time to pay me - NOTHING
I logged my first case and NUMEROUS others via Online Portal in November 2020 (which is the most dysfunctional system in existence or just operated by incompetent personnel).
After MANY failed attempts I finally went to the Labour Department (in Nana Sita street Pretoria) in November last year 2022 - Where I was assisted - and told to come back after 2 weeks to get my payment -
When arriving after two weeks there, there were no payments and I had to go back to the agents - I was informed that I was paid TERS money whilst not employed, money my previous company claimed while my Appeal case was still pending, hence applying for the benefits as they need to be done in batches and not individually. I am told that Because I was paid R17k in ters benefits "THE SYSTEM" blocks any other payments - Now, my calculation according to labour's website I am entitled to 365 days of payment as I have contributed for much longer than 4 years. If you take the maximum amount I am due approximately R80 000. Why can the TERS money not be deducted, the UIF still then owe me R63 000, i hefty sum for someone in my position. The UIF cannot simply deny me the funds because there was corruption in their mids and now ordinary citizens are paying the price??

Well I hope the message reaches someone, I wanted to give up so many times, but this is not FAIR and will not stop until my funds are paid.
