Dear Portfolio Committee on Health,

We urge and plead for you to reconsider implementing the NHI, not because of our lack of concern or empathy for those suffering with lack of quality health care, but due to the financial ramifications of its implementation.

We as a country do not have the funds to implement or sustain it, and due to the corrupt nature of our very own government, we do not trust that it will be implemented in a way that benefits all citizens.

We are aware of failed pilot studies, which seem to be swept under the carpet or nonchalantly ignored. This will lead to yet another financial crisis that the already over-burdened tax payer will have to cover.
