Dear Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies,

I am alarmed by, and strenuously object to the proposed amendments to the RICA & GILAB bills which will prejudice our rights to privacy and allow mass interception & monitoring of private communications of private citizens. This is easily open to abuse and, in my view, a violation of our democratic rights. There appear to be no clearly thought out protections agains abuse/misuse of the bill and it cannot be allowed to proceed as is.
