Dear Portfolio Committee on Land Reform and Rural Development, I'm Keith Muller and I'm a member of the Oppermansgronde Communal Property Association. I hereby would like to request that our Communal Property Association be placed under administration ASAP.

The Oppermansgronde Communal Property Association is currently used to enrich the Committee and Chairman. They are clueless as a Committee as they impoverished our community and OCPA Members. A white farmers lease the irrigation land while the poor struggle to put food on the table and the Committee live like kings.

Thirty eight (38) OCPA members who fed their children while they had the land have to eat dog food, porridge and water morning, noon and night while Committee members live in the best suburbs in Bloemfontein. Human rights are violated as the OCPA Committee stops everything the municipality wants to do for the wellbeing of the Community.

Department of Rural Development and Land Reform are part of the problem as they are non-existent. They received the Honey Attorney's Enquiry on Oppermansgronde in December 2021 and nothing had been done till now. We don't see DRDLR workers on our land but they are supposed to oversee our OCPA. They sit in their air-conditioned offices while we are left to struggle and die like animals. We currently live in chaos, frustrating, drug abuse are prevalent in our community because of this OCPA Committee.

We urgently want this Oppermansgronde Communal Property Association to be placed under administration or be totally dismantled as it only brought hardship, poverty misfortune and distress to our community!

We are frustrated, hopeless and ruined, we hope you hear our urgent plead.
