Dear Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services,

My name is Mlungisi Khuzwayo I'm 29 years old from Msinga. I have an issue that I feel I need to raise. in 2018 December I was arrested for speeding violation, at Vrede Free State approximately 100km to Newcastle,I was traveling from Pretoria to Msinga north of KZN. upon court appearance in 2019 march I pleaded guilty I was sentenced 3 months imprisonment or eligible for a fine of R2000 of which I paid the fine.

In february this year I was invited to attend an interview at UMHLANGA ROCKS Durban by the company is based in U.A.E (Emirates Global Aluminum)and I got a job offer, now my issue is this "I went to do fingerprint verification and the vrede case showed up" , so this is blocking the company to grant me visa to work in U.A.E hence I'm on the verge of losing this job, with the powers vented to you. please can the new administration relook into this issue of people with offences such as the one mentioned above be given pardon, or at least qualify for expungement after 5 years, I've been unemployed for 3 years now I'm about to miss this life changing opportunity.

I trust this new administration will come up with new and different solutions.

Thank you
