Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour, it is with great sadness to write this after a year my maternity claim has not been paid. When I enquire they tell me that I have a an overpayment of R11000 from 2019 so what I need to know is why do I have a overpayment because I was dismissed in September 2018 I got a contract job in October 2018 so I filed for uif in May 2019 now I'm being told that I filed for uif while I was working which is not true, nobody is able to fix this problem any way I have been working from 2019 so I should have made up the money I owe by now if I owe any because it surely can't be the full R1100 this is my Last hope if I don't get assistance I'm going to the press because it's my money I worked for it.
