Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is Phoenix Franklin and I live in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. I would like to bring a business to your attention by the name of Bem Vindo at the Boardwalk Mall in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

I work for a Labour Advice Unit and have consulted with an ex-employee who was unfairly dismissed. Unfortunately, we are only able to represent those who consult with us but from our consultation it is apparent that there are multiple Labour Law violations taking place in the abovementioned business. Workers are being exploited, not being paid (or alternatively not being paid according to the provisions of the BCEA) and the owners demonstrate blatant racism towards their employees. The owners seem to target vulnerable members of society who are not aware of their rights and take advantage of the financial distress their employees face. I would like to know who I can contact in order to take this further and possibly open an investigation into the business.

My email address is phoenixfranklin030599@gmail.com please contact me if there is any recourse that I can put into action on my side possibly with a labour union of some sort. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
