Dear Portfolio Committee on Basic Education,

It has come to my attention that the subject of Life Orientation does not really benefit the learners of South Africa after their matric, it is not even a requirement in most career paths at tertiary level.
It is very viable for school kids to learn life skills while they are at school, it has helped alot of young people to develop mentally in our country, but what does it benefit them academically? Nothing.
How about replacing Life Orientation with K53 Learners License at Grade 12 level, this can benefit alot of learners after Grade 12, this can benefit the country as a whole because it will promote alot of safe driving because more people will know about road rules, they don't have to go a buy learners licenses at the backdoors like people are doing now.
It will be a great pleasure if this idea can be taken into consideration.
