Dear Portfolio Committee on Police,
My nephew was shot and killed over 5 years ago and the accussed was convicted and sentenced and was released on bail or warning pending an SCA appeal which was dismissed last year in July 2024.I suspect that the I.O. is not doing enough to apprehend this person because he frequents the area of Austerville , Kwazulu-Natal regularly and has family and friends in the area so how is it impossible for him to be found.I have reported this to the NPA and the DPCI on a regular basis but up to date this person is still free.The commander at Wentworth SAPS is Colonel Duke.The accussed moves around with armed bodyguards and is still up to his shenanigans.This person was sentenced to +/- 13 years for murder and has a pending attempted murder case in Durban Court X.
I also would like his old cases to be investigated properly because he was getting assistance from SAPS and hence maybe those cases were not investigated properly.

Please can you assist.
