Dear Portfolio Committee on Health, Hi ladies and Gents. Jona Vaughn home is in desperate need.
The department that governs, Durban mental health is no longer willing to fund them as the parent organisation and as a result Jona Vaughn staff have not been paid their October or November salaries. And there is no sign of the department helping the individual homes.
Please, if you are able to help by either donating money directly to Jona Vaughn so that they can pay staff, their electricity and buy food. Please contact Fiona 0319032111.
If you are able to volunteer, please please do. They need help cooking and feeding the residents as many cannot feed themselves..
Meal times are 8 am, 12 pm and 4 pm..
I will be going tonight and tomorrow to help and they are trying to get money in, in the hopes of paying their staff something and them returning to work.

The residents are suffering because government has let yhem down.
