Dear Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development,

Kindly indicate how the committee prefers to receive my (re)presentation about delays in courts (Johannesburg only or elsewhere also). The press has reported proposed solutions, some of which being untenable in its very approach. It also missed the cardinal need to separate High Court criminal work from High Court civil work and possibly internal adjustments.

I was on the Bench from 1978 tot 2002, for 12 years of which as deputy judge president (including stints as judge president)
