My name is Mandla Mtshali, 31 years of age. I have just registered my company with aims to undertake some of the community problems and turn them into sustainable projects that create jobs for the youth. I have been running some of these undertakings before registering my company.

Realizing that there was a need for computers in one of the schools in Cosmo City where I used to reside and waiting for the government was not helping, I took it upon myself with my sister and rallied to get computers for the school. We approached companies and private schools and indeed we managed to get laptops, iPads, smartboards, projectors with a value of just over R500 000. We donated everything to the school in order to help improve to try and level out the academic field. At the time we were staying in the backroom in Cosmo City. We have also donated toys to the Emthonjeni Community Centre in Zandspruit in an effort to help the young kids.

Now that I am done with studying, I registered my company last year, 3Xplus Inc. with the vision to continue the good work in communities. I believe in entrepreneurial thinking, that is the skills to identify problems and come up with solutions to fix them within the communities we live in. This empowers the communities and helps with community self-sustenance. I was thus wondering if you can help me source the funding for my new project with my new company. The new project is to provide dustbins in one of the communities that their municipality has forgotten about. I have compiled a detailed proposal that I would gladly present to you for the once-off funding. With this project I will be able to create permanent jobs for almost ten young people and provide a much needed service for the community. One of the positive things that the corona virus has since taught us is hygiene and we wouldn't like to be one community that breeds another pandemic.
