I'm Suneel Harryparsad from Forensic pathology services in kzn.
We want to highlight the plight of forensic pathology officers that were incorrectly translated to OSD in 2010.
DPSA informed the provincial department in 2014 of the incorrect translation. Labor has also tried immensely to negotiate. Resolution 4/2017 was signed and 8 years later you'll have not implemented it.
It's also 15 years since the introduction of OSD and yhe department has failed to properly implement it in forensic pathology services.
We have lost a tremendous amount in income due to this incorrect translation .
Gauteng had the similar problem and they were removed from OSD in 2018 and staff were placed on their correct notches and were also backpaid for their loss of earnings.
We ARE DEMANDING THE SAME .Dr Dhlomo was our MEC in Kzn and is aware of this problem.
We highlight again that we are not asking for an increase in salary....we just want you be placed on our correct notch and compensated for our loss of income due to this incorrect translation .
It effects about 120 staff in KZN and we request it to be done immediately.
We have queried with out provincial department and they stated that NDOH is dealing with it....but 8 YEARS LATER NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.
