Dear Portfolio Committee on Police,

I am a law abiding south African citizen.
I have been tested by your SAPS standards to be a legal
And law abiding COMPETENT fire arm owner.

And I reject the bill in its entirety.
There is no justification to any of these changes.
The FCA as it stands already has imposed limitations and mindless regulations that have no merit.

I say scrap licence renewals completely. Once the firearm is registered to you it is for life.

Remove all ammunition restrictions. There is no justification for limiting ammunition’s.

Stop allowing firearms from being sold out of the police stations onto the illegal market.

No government who is protected by armed guards has the right to tell me I may not be armed.

No government that hides behind armed guards has the right to tell me I am not allowed to have fully automatic weapons.

No government who cowers behind armed guards who the tax payer pays for, has the right to suggest how many types of firearms I can own or use.

No government who is incapable of keeping the police in order has the right to tell me that I may not collect parts of history.

No government who is incapable of controlling corruption has the right to tell me I may or may not produce my own ammunition.

I reject the idea that the government may regulate how many firearms, or what type of firearms, I wish to own.
And I also reject that I need to justify why I want them.

Be it for hunting or sporting or self defence. I should not have to explain myself. I have been tested competent. And I have no criminal record. There is no justification for the limitations and regulation that are currently imposed upon me. And most certainly lay zero justification towards the amendments suggested.
