Following completion of a qualification of higher training in Environmental health a graduate is expected to complete compulsory community service as required byHPCSA, to be registered as an Independent EHP.

The department of health give us community services and afterwards no permanent post given post completion of community service in question and we have to settle annual registration fee with HPCSA while not working.

There is a high need for EHPs in the country and instead of addressing the issue community service environmental health are used without supervision during the year of completing community service.
