Dear Honourable Members of Parliament,
RE: CALL FOR STRONGER PROTECTION OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR ONLY SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS
I am writing to express my deep concern about the high levels of unemployment in South Africa and to call for stronger measures to protect employment opportunities for South African citizens in their own country.
Many South Africans are struggling to find jobs despite having the necessary qualifications, skills and experience. Families are facing financial hardship, young people are losing hope, and communities continue to suffer because of limited employment opportunities.
I respectfully urge Parliament to consider stronger employment policies that prioritise South African citizens when jobs are allocated, while ensuring that employers comply with the country's labour laws. Employment opportunities should not leave South African citizens disadvantaged in their own country.
I also call for stricter monitoring of employers to ensure that recruitment practices are fair, transparent and lawful. Government should take meaningful action to address unemployment, create more jobs for citizens and ensure that South Africans have a fair opportunity to support their families and build a better future.
