Dear Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements, thank you for the work that you do, we are grateful to have you, I live in one of the blocked projects namely Howell Road in Ethekwini Durban, our Project is 24 years old this year, it is Institutionally Subsidised Residential Units that according to the Developers Executive Business Plan which accounts for the Development state our Units to be instalment sale Residences yet years after taking occupation the issue of perpetual rental was questioned, this led to disagreements between residents and service providers ultimately questioning the initial reason for the Project instillation as it was intended for low income earners, residents have engaged with Departments and continue to engage for the purposes of dealing with the issue of Ownership and Title Deeds yet have encountered hostility and non compliance by provincial and municipality representatives throughout our research process, are you able to assist our community by expediting our request for assistance?
