Dear Portfolio Committee on Police,

As a woman who often travels alone and lives by myself, I have to be able to defend myself and protect my property and would like to have the right to obtain a firearms licence as the police services are too tardy when called to respond to an emergency or robbery etc.
Please do not take away our rights to defend ourselves.
I have been through several abusive relationships where I myself was nearly shot and wished I had been armed to defend myself
