Dear Portfolio Committee on Electricity and Energy,

My Name is Simon Ntshangase , born in Cradock in the Eastern Cape, leaving in Johannesburg Springs, in east rand . We bought land in Cradock for the purpose of building a service station , im a business man, started business since it left school, im an entrepreneur. We applied to the department since 2019 , we were refused after 12 months of waiting, we then appealed to the minister and replied after six months , application was putted back to the controller which took six month to decline the application on technical bases , that our company is expired on cipro, title deed they don’t see it at deeds office , they don’t see proof of funds. When all those things they had them on the main application and we did a deed search we could see our title deed but them they could not .

Controller when the file is with them , those things are things they could have sorted with the applicant even before declining the application, we now appealed again and sorted all those things that they enquiring about , it’s now over four months with no reply , a person in the legal department appeals is one dealing with more that 200 appeals . Please members of the portfolio committee that department needs a serious oversite .we need people who have a passion for their work and best Intrest of the people in these departments.
