Dear Portfolio Committee on Basic Education,
Since 2021, the SGB of Dumelani Primary have not been in control of the funds of the school which led to seeking a court relief in September 2023 (Dumelani Primary School SGB v Mpumalanga Education MEC and others) where the court ordered that the Department of Education Mpumalanga must return the school account but till to date the Department of Education Mpumalanga have not complied with the order of the court. We have written to all relevant structures in the department of Basic Education seeking help, till to date we haven't receive any response whatsoever, yet the maladministration and mismanangement of school funds remains the order of the day at the expense of poor children of Moloto community.

We hereby request the committee to investigate the matter and sanction the Mpumalanga department officials to account for this matter, as the SGB of Dumelani Primary School, we will be ready to assist with evidence.
