Dear Portfolio Committee on Small Business Development,
since October 2024 todate, I have tried to contact the 'right person in authority' to discuss an integrated structure for the informal spaza shop owners.
We are a fledgling SMME, ResQ Management Consulting, registered on the CSD supplier nr. MAAA1448564.
(1) From trying to meet with the RD based in Soweto, Mr Justice Ngalonkulu, who is either always busy on training, on leave or with the mayor, there is no room to have a meeting of mutual minds for mutual benefit of the people. (2) We've met with Mr Godfrey Phetla, who redirected us to vdayile@dsbd.gov.za, again someone who does not respond. (3) We've met with Mr Jeff Nene who redirected us to SETA website for special projects 'when it becomes available'.
In the meantime, there's work to be done and we want to contribute. We do charge for our services and we are absolutely certain that we will make a positive difference.

Is there anyone out there willing to listen and partner with us on this very important project ie. formalizing the spaza shop sector?

Future replies will be published here.
