Dear Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development,
Climate change it’s too late now to try and reverse it. We can’t control the rising warm weather, the amount of rain that falls, the floods and landslides but we can control how much water to capture into our dams instead of flowing back to the sea via the rivers. We can deepen the dams to hold more water to last us in times of drought. The time is coming when the temperatures will reach 60 degrees. It’s already 51 degrees in the Middle East.
