I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the lack of action from the Minister, Director General, and the Chairperson of the board overseeing the implementation of government regulations by mining permit holders. Since the board was established in February, there has yet to be a meeting involving these key figures, which is alarming.

The communities surrounding the mines are facing significant challenges, particularly regarding job creation and local beneficiation. There is a growing frustration among residents who feel neglected and are demanding urgent action to address these issues. The absence of a proactive approach from the aforementioned officials and the board is contributing to a lack of confidence in the government's commitment to supporting these communities.

Furthermore, I urge you to consider appointing a competent Chairperson who can effectively lead the board and ensure that the necessary meetings and discussions take place. It is crucial that we have capable individuals in these roles who are dedicated to the welfare of the affected communities.

Your urgent attention to this matter is highly appreciated, as it is vital for the development and support of our local communities.
