Dear Portfolio Committee on Social Development,

I would like for the Minister & department to consider appropriately if it's sustainable to pay out a basic income grant in the future as it's critical for the number of unemployed poor but is it not going to put our economy at risk if govt will intend to borrow to implement the basic income grant. I suggest that govt should focus on attracting investment so as to create jobs in turn reducing the high level of unemployment, and if govt has to invest let it invest & direct the country's budget towards creating productive assets of the country, & focus on developing a infrastructure that will attract investment & enable a better business environment in which businesses can thrive.
