Dear Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs,
I'm saddened by the lack of service delivery within the institution. The DHA officials do not consider the citizens of this country as tax payers and voters of the government. I am humbly saddened by the treatment fellow South Africans receive everyday when they enter the premises of the DHA. The Batho Pele principles are not adhered by the DHA officials. The officials are not productive in terms of service delivery and customer care. It pains me as a citizen of this country to see an elderly person (pensioner) and disabled citizens's right to dignity being violated by the very same servants of the government who are supposed to be serving this poor citizens. Replacement of ID it's a burning issue because officials advices citizens to do temporary ID's which expires after few months then they are supposed to come back for another temporary ID. Citizens are unemployed, Citizens lives beyond the bread-line, where must they get the money to keep coming back for temporary
ID's. I am not sure if this is a DHA modus operandi's machine to generate income or it is oppression mechanism to fellow
Citizens. Kindly address this issue to your staff for the interest of the majority of South Africans and for our country to be a better place for each and every citizen who belongs along the peremeters of our country.
