Dear Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs,
In June of last year my wife and I applied in Randfontein to change our then 11 year old daughter`s surname to mine, as we got married.
After numerous calls to the local offices we were always given the same story: "it is with head office"
Really?! 17 Months to change a surname! What a disgrace!
I decided to escalate to the ADDG`s offices and some other people dealing with Civil Services. Still, no response. I have left numerous messages for these people:
Jackson Mackay
Mamokubung Moeketsi
Mmaselaelo Ngwepe
Ms Baba Zamxaka
Thomas Sigama
Prenisha Moodley

Not one of them bothered to call me back or to respond to my emails.

I am so disappointed with DHA. I will do everything I can to bring this to the Minister`s attention. This poor service from so called civil servants needs to stop.
